Mindful Baking

A workshop about the connection between bread and mindfulness. 
Mindful Baking is a sourdough class which encourages us to be in the moment.  In this easygoing, 4 hour long workshop, we will look at how each step of making bread can be mindful.  Suitable for beginners who want to learn about bread making from scratch or for people who dabble with bread and would like to know more about sourdoughs and different types of bread.  We will go through our own sourdough bread recipe, a recipe for rye bread and will make Roman-style pizza. You will take home all you make in the session, doughy snacks and tea are provided (please let us know if you have any dietary requirements).  Suitable for ages 10 and up, with a class sizes of between 10 – 14 people. Level: Beginner or for those consolidating some bread knowledge
Focus: What each step of breadmaking can teach us about being more mindful in daily life. 
We will cover: Ingredients, proportions, stretching, folding, proofing, shaping & baking. What is mindfulness and how can bread be mindful?
Refund/Exchange policy: We are happy to offer refunds and exchanges up to 14 days before the class. After 14 days, we can only offer an exchange if cancelled 48 hours before the class. No refunds or exchanges will be granted if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the start time (or in the case of a no-show).
